Alright single ladies, let’s chat.
Being single is hard. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I feel like I’m the only person not in a relationship! And it is so easy to listen to the lies in our heads!
Nobody would ever want to date me.
I’m just not pretty enough.
I’ll be single forever.
Do you ever think these thoughts? I know I do. I really feel like God has been teaching me a lot about embracing this season of singleness and remembering His goodness and faithfulness. In Ecclesiastes 3:1 it says:
“For everything there is a season.”
God has a plan for us. He has put us in this season of singleness for a reason. He has given us this time to strengthen our relationships with Him. And we are “more precious than rubies” ( Proverbs 3:15 ) in the eyes of the Lord.
Here is my encouragement for you: don’t let your singleness effect your standards. It is so important to find joy in the season rather than sacrificing your standards for the sake of being in a relationship. You are so deserving of a Godly man!!
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this season of singleness. I pray that you can help me stay strong as the world tempts me with unhealthy relationships and desires. Help me to remember the good plan that you have for my life. Help me to enjoy this time with overflowing thanksgiving. Help me to desire You above all else. I pray for my future husband Lord. I know he will be worth the wait. Thank you for all you have done for me and all the things you will do! I love you Lord.
Amen.
Enjoy the season. It will be hard, but God has a plan. And it is a good plan.
