dear fall,
it’s been a wild ride. and i’ve learned a heck of a lot. i’ve learned about hard work, junior year is no joke. i thought it wouldn’t be that bad, but 7 classes later i realized, it’s that bad. and the pressure of college is constantly on my mind. i’ve also learned about friendship, the value of good friends. life isn’t intended to be lived alone, you need people by your side to lift you up when you’re down and cheer you through the race of life. and most importantly always leading you back to jesus. i’ve learned about stress: hint it’s not worth it. the bible tells us not to worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry enough by itself. stress leads us away from faith and into fear. and i learned the hard way that the most seemingly stressful days are way easier when you walk in faith, not in fear. jesus is our number one cheerleader and encourager. i’ve learned about fun. life is meant for smiling, and giggling, and enjoying, we don’t have to put so much pressure on ourselves. i’ve learned that it’s okay to be imperfect. jesus doesn’t expect perfection, he expects perseverance. i’ve learned about stillness. I realized i needed to take time to stop, exhale, lean in, ask, and hear the lord everyday. i’ve learned that the bible really is as cool as people say it is. starting my day with truth has proved to be so beneficial to my life. i’ve learned about failure. failure makes us stronger and gives us drive to push forward. lastly, i’ve learned about fall. there is a season for everything, sometimes we need to whither before we bloom. i’ll miss you fall.
thank you.
sam
