For a brief moment, heaven invades the earth.
The marine layer permeates all corners of the air,
changing my perception.
Though I know where the sea sits,
I become reliant upon faith.
Nothing has changed, yet everything has changed.
For a brief moment, heaven invades the earth.
A son descends from all the glories of the heavens,
changing our perception.
Though the world appears the same,
We become reliant upon faith.
Nothing seems changed, yet everything has changed.
For a brief moment, heaven invades the earth.
I peer through the fog and the mist at the water’s edge.
I feel the salt on my skin and the wind behind my left ear.
I wait.
The fog presses deeper. And deeper.
Suddenly, I realize I am a part of the morning mist!
For a brief moment, heaven invades the earth.
Tethered between two forces,
yet at perfect peace.
The marine mist.
The incarnation.
I think it’s like Him and us.
