NEW JOURNAL ENTRY / “blissful uncertainty” / excerpt: “Then I hear the words ringing through my soul: ‘blissful uncertainty’. I gazed at this foggy phenomenon and pondered these words from God, then it hit me. Just because I can’t see the mountains and the beach behind this fog, doesn’t mean that they aren’t there. In fact, I’m certain that they are there. And I’m certain that the sun is still setting right on time. This is what faith is like in the middle of uncertainty. Faith is about trusting the certainty of God even when we don’t feel like we can see Him.”

NEW JOURNAL ENTRY / “the guilt game” / excerpt: “Grace frees us from our standstill and breaks the chains of helplessness and brings us back to the Waymaker. To clarify, I am not appealing to the fact that we should accept grace and get on with our lives as usual. I aim to say that as followers of the living God we must accept the grace of Christ and seek actual means of progress in our lives. Grace is not a ticket out, on the contrary grace, when accepted fully, will actually grant us the capability to love others in greater capacity. Paul knew this and encouraged the Corinthians with this amidst their grief and regret.”

My name is Sam and welcome to Hands & Feet! I am an nineteen year old kid from a little Southern California town by the beach but am currently studying Theology in Chicago. A fews things you should know about me: I would describe my natural habitat as sitting in a cafe sipping some joe, as my family always says “coffee is the elixir of life”. I also love(!!) to be outside enjoying the sunshine! Whether it’s biking, running, hiking, or swimming I’m all for it. Most of my inspiration for writing comes when I’m outside in the mountains or at the beach! Nature is just rad. Another thing that is very rad, is music. I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember and I love attempting (note the diction) to play instruments. That’s a little bit about me😊i’m glad you’re here!
